DAY 01:   MUMBAI
Upon your arrival in Mumbai, check into the hotel. The evening is free to relax and explore the nearby sights. For instance, you can visit the famous Juhu Beach and watch the sun in reddish hues. You can also savor the mouth-watering Mumbai ‘Pav-Bhaji’ and Bhel on the beach. Stay overnight in Mumbai.

DAY 02:  MUMBAI
Today, in the morning, proceed towards the Elephanta Caves and city tour on your own. Early morning, you will be transferred to the Gateway of India. Then there is Elephanta Caves, located on an island about 10 kilometers away from the shores of Mumbai. These caves comprise of temples carved from solid rock dating back to the 7th century. The main attraction is the three-headed bust of Lord Shiva, famously known as ‘Trimurti’. Thereafter, proceed on a city tour. Later, halt at the Gateway of India for photo stop, drive past monuments built during the British era such as Mumbai University, Rajabai Clock Tower, High Court and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (VT).
You may choose to stroll across Fashion Street, a stretch famous for its export clothing and accessories. Later drive past Marine Drive also known as the Queen’s Necklace. Later, ascend Malabar Hill to visit the beautifully adorned Jain Temple, Kamala Nehru Park and the Hanging Garden. Later, return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 03: MUMBAI – NASIK  (194 km / 5 hours)
After breakfast drive to Nasik, on the way visit local wineries, tasting. “Sula” – the largest private winery in India, has gained immense popularity both at home and far beyond its borders. Upon arrival in Nasik, check-in at the hotel. The city of Nasik is located on the banks of the river Godavarisvjashchennye waters that wash away the sin of pilgrims, the number of which increases during the holiday of Kumbh Mela. Nasik, along with Haridwar, Prayag and Ujjain, is the venue for the Kumbh Mela festival, which is celebrated here every 12 years. Thousands of pilgrims come to ghats – steps descending into the water to bathe in the sacred river Godavari. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04: NASIK – AURANGABAD  (182 km / 4 hours)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and excursion around the city of Nasik. Visiting the Cala Rama temple and Ram Kund bathing basin, the water of which is considered sacred like the waters of the Ganges River. Visit to the Muktidam Temple, built on the donations of a local entrepreneur, from pure marble. On its walls are written eighteen chapters of the holy book of the Bhagavad Gita. Next trip to the source of the holy river Godavari located at the holy city of Trimbak – the birthplace of the Hindu god Ganesha. It was in this city during the struggle between the gods and demons from the vessel that one of the four famous drops of the immortal nectar, Amrita, fell to the ground. Visiting (outside) of the ancient Hindu temple of Trayambakeshwar – one of the 12 Jyotirlingam – the place where, according to Hindu mythology, the god Shiva manifested himself in the form of a huge pillar of light that pierced all three worlds. The temple is especially noteworthy because in it “Lingam of the Light” has three faces representing Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, while the remaining 11 Jyotrigingam are exclusively dedicated to Shiva. There is also the sacred pond of Kushavarta for ritual ablutions. Further transfer to Aurangabad. On the way the photo stops at the cave Pandulena – a group of twenty-four caves dating from the 2nd to 1st centuries BC. Upon arrival in Aurangabad, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05: AURANGABAD – ELLORA – AURANGABAD 
After breakfast, visit the cave temples of Ellora (closed on Tuesdays), which are located 30 km from Aurangabad. On the way visit the majestic Fort Daulatabad – the historic city of the 14th century, where the capital was moved for a long time with the resettlement of all the inhabitants of Delhi. From the walls of the fort offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area, and the fortress itself is a labyrinth of walls, buildings, secret underground tunnels and fortifications erected at various times by numerous rulers. To this day, the ascent to the fort is possible only through a narrow bridge and a gallery carved into a stone. Ellora caves date from the 6th to 13th centuries AD. Altogether there are 34 cave temples in Ellora, some of them with several floors, a lot of stairs and passages. According to the religious principle, the caves are divided into three separate groups: the Jainas in the north, the Buddhist in the south, and the Hindu caves in the center. In the center of the complex is a grandiose carved from the monolithic rock Kailasanatha temple, dedicated to Shiva with a base of elephant figures in full size, and bas-reliefs with scenes from Hindu mythology. Carved as a sculpture, in a rock, it consists of three floors, leaving deep into the rock for 33 meters. On his return to Aurangabad, visiting the Bibi-Ka-Makbar mausoleum is also known as the Taj Mahal for the Poor, because it is inferior in size and splendor to the Taj Mahal, after which it was built. Return to the hotel, overnight at the hotel.

DAY 06:  AURANGABAD – AJANTA –  AURANGABAD  (100 km/02 hours)
After breakfast, a full day excursion to the cave temple complex of Ajanta (closed on Mondays). It is a complex of predominantly Buddhist temples that were carved into the rocks for several centuries – from the 2nd century BC. e. to the 5th century AD They were used by Buddhist monks as prayer halls and monasteries for about nine centuries, after which they were suddenly abandoned. The caves went into oblivion until they were reopened in 1819. The ceilings and cave entrances often support carved or covered with murals columns. The wall painting of the caves is world famous and represents a special, historical value. In some places, frescoes were destroyed due to human interference, so in many areas only fragments were preserved. Frescos are a unique encyclopedia, in which not only images of the Buddha are represented in symbolic form, in the form of a throne or traces, scenes from the life of Buddha and other Buddhist motifs, but also all social strata of Indian society (from ruler to beggar). There are stories about the numerous peoples who inhabited India, about important moments of its history. People, gods, flowers, animals look from different parts of Ajanta, narrate about something, teach, sing and dance, and call to join the holiday, and take them to heavenly distance to the sounds of nature. The study of the caves of Ajanta continues to this day, but in their history there are still many mysterious moments. For example, it is unclear how the artists could draw in the semi-darkness; not disclosed and the mystery of the luminous colors. Today there is a museum of Buddhist art. Return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Aurangabad. If desired, you can go to Mumbai by night train (21:35 – 05:30) for additional. Payment (Check-out from the hotel in Aurangabad before excursion to Ajanta).

DAY 07: AURANGABAD – MUMBAI (410km / 9 hours)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Mumbai by car (9 hours). You can book Train/flight to Mumbai. Train time (06:00 – 12:30) for extra charge. Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer by car to the airport for next Destination  Delhi/Goa/Kerala/Home.
